Comprehensive Guide to Applying to Comiket as a Circle ONLINE

Here we are, the long awaited "How to Comiket 2"

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen of the Doujin world, it is I Kxela here, back from a one year absence of not posting on this blog. However, I have been attending and applying for Comiket every chance I got within that year- learning valuable info on how to Apply for Comic Market Online. I took this chance to apply for the Next Summer Comiket (Comic Market 82, Summer 2012) to make a Tutorial on how to apply for Comiket through their online procedures!

Let Us begin!

There are Two Physical things you need:
1. The Comic Market Circle Application Package
(refer to previous post to see that it looks like)

2. A Circle account on Circle.ms (free to sign up)

The couple other things you must have to complete the registration:

- A valid mailing address IN JAPAN
(no they will not accept foreign addresses)

-A Credit Card
(Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Diners Club International, American Express are accepted)

Basically with all of those you shouldn't have a Problem applying online.

Ready? Here we go!

First make sure you are logged into your Circle.ms account.
Then click the following tab: Event Application

Once you complete that scroll down Until you see the button options for Comic Market:
Comic Market is コミックマーケット
Click the top one for a normal Circle table.
Click the second one if you happen to want a double combination circle table
(Two application packets are required for this I believe. Don't do it if you don't know what you're doing)

Upon Clicking that button it'll take you to the event details page.
Look it over and confirm that this is indeed the event you want to apply for:
Once you confirm that, click next (Circled in Red):

Next page goes over some small details such as how much the application is gonna cost, what symbols and stuff you can and can't use in your circle name etc. The cost for applying online with Credit card is 8500 yen.

Once you finish with these details, click next to proceed (again, circled in red):

Here comes the real application. The first section of applying is Mainly your personal information such as your Name, Circle Name, Address, Phone Number, Application Number, and Online Application Number. You will need to write your name and address in Katakana for the lines they ask it a second time:

Once you finish filling all of this out, click next
(I didn't circle it this time, but its the green right button at the bottom.):

Information confirmation page. Make sure everything is correct.
(I blacked my info out, but that's where everything supposed to appear)
Once done click next:

NEXT is application payment. If you're paying outside of Japan then Credit card is your best bet. Click the credit card option in the outlined box (circled in red) and then click next at the bottom (also circled in red)
Make sure you choose the right one, you can't redo this after you've completed this:

Next Page asks for Your Credit card information.
Fill it in and hit the orange button to proceed:

Confirm the payment details and double check your credit card info.
Again hit the orange button to proceed:

This time the payment has gone through and you may proceed with the application.
Hit the blue link to proceed (circled in red):

Circle.ms now confirms you've paid and will let you proceed with your application.
Click Next (circled in red):

This is the second big application, consisting of your circle details.
Information you need to input includes- Birthday, Gender, Occupation, Circle/Pen Names, Genre Code, Other details about your circle and what you sell:

...info about your previous applications to comiket (if applicable), Questionaire questions (optional):

This Top part is where you input what you sold in the previous comiket
(obviously leave it blank if you didn't participate)
The Bottom part is where you input what you plan to sell for this Comiket you're applying for. Put in details such as the title of your Book/item, what print size it is, how many pages, the selling price, Genre code, How many you intend to print, and the date you plan to first sell it:

Finally the bottom section is an optional area for information about your circle, whether you have a website or blog or email address you want to provide for the catalog information.
Once you're done, click next (again the green button on the right):

NEXT is the comiket questionaire. It's mostly questions about your experience attending the previous comiket. This is nothing serious, just a survey. If you didn't attend last Comiket don't worry and just leave this area blank:

Fill it out if you did attend and are able to. If not as I said, its optional.
Hit the green button on the right to proceed:

One of the final steps for application is uploading your circle cut. Your circle cut is the small image that appears in the Comic Market Catalog. It can be anything but it's best if its a character or something that represents what you are selling.
The top upload form is for the Circle cut. Choose your file and upload here.
If you need a template to create your circle cut, there is a link to it- the first blue link on the page links to a template you can use.

The Second one is your manga report. Its basically a little image showing your expression of what you thought of at the last comiket. You see these towards the end of the catalog where people express stuff like "it was so crowded" or "it was super hot/cold" or "the lines were crazy" stuff like that.
This is optional. Once you decide to upload or skip this click the next button:

This is your final confirmation page. Every bit of information you put in up til now is displayed. Confirm that all information is correct. If so click the next button at the bottom to complete your application:

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT.
That completes your application. If there is anything you'd like to change, you are able to edit most of the details by going back into the event history (the tab at the top on the right next to "event application") and choosing the Comiket you applied for.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
GOOD LUCK SOLDIERS!!!!
